We want to spread awareness to local teenagers about ways to become more involved and connected with their communities. Teens world-wide are losing connection and becoming untethered from society. We hope to make an impact on teens in our area. If we can help them get more involved, then we can improve their mental health and the expansion of society as a whole. We also want to provide havens for teens, such as places where they can talk about their issues with someone who gets what they are going through. This can look like helplines, organizations that can provide therapy, counseling, and more.
We are a group of Girl Scouts trying to make a difference in this world. For our silver award (the second highest award a girl scout can earn) we decided to spread mental health awareness to youth in our community. For about 10 months we dedicated our time and energy into this project and we sincerely hope it helps make a positive change in your life.
